It was a joy to attend a panel at the brilliant @chilternkills Crime Writing Festival yesterday with the fabulous @katelondonauthor, @rachelwolfauthor and @howardlinskey. Most stories are about the idea of home: crime, war and ghost stories are about defending it, some, like The Odyssey or ET are about getting back to it and others, like the Wizard of Oz are about appreciating it. Even my book Manhattan Down is ultimately about saving the planet we all call home. As Dorothy said, there’s no place like home so it’s fitting that all the proceeds from @chilternkills go to @centrepointuk a charity dedicated to helping young people who have no home. Thanks to the organisers @paul_waters_author and @tonykent_writes for inviting me.
